Occasional Paper #7: 41 Reasons Why I Did Not Want to Be With You

Dear Mrs. Bull,

Today’s expository writing assignment is about love. Or rather: a very specific, sordid, sometimes darkly comic, often humiliating, and ultimately soul-fracturing anti-love story.

This is my occasional paper on a relationship that should never have been — and what I learned from it. I don’t expect an “A,” but I do expect clarity to follow confession, and maybe catharsis, too.
